Any time is a good time to visit Salta.  

Currency 

There are currency exchange offices in the capital city (Salta) and in the main tourist destinations of the province. Credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted in the most important stores. 

Communication 

Salta has access to telephony, internet and wifi in most of its tourist destinations.  

Mobility 

The different options to move around the city are: remises or SAETA buses with a specific circuit.  The International Airport Gral. Martín Miguel de Güemes, is located 9 Km. from the city center, at the departure of each flight you can hire the mobility of your choice. At 100 mts. from the airport on National Route 51 you can take the local bus 8A to the bus terminal.  

Useful Tips 

During the months of March to September, the daytime temperature is pleasant, but at night it is necessary to dress warmly and temperatures drop considerably; during the summer months, at night it usually cools down, so it is advisable to bring a light coat.   

Hire excursions in agencies or providers, lodgings or rent cars that are authorized and licensed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, do not do it on the street.   

Many of the circuits are traveled by unpaved and mountain roads; in this case it is important to take into account that they are roads of cornices and allow to advance in an average of 50 Km / H, enjoying the surrounding landscapes.

If you travel the province by car, whether private or rented, bear in mind that Law 7846 is in force in the province, which establishes the prohibition of driving with physical or mental impediments without the corresponding special driving license, or having consumed narcotics, medicines and/or any other substance that diminishes the aptitude to drive and/or having consumed alcoholic beverages in any degree.
