Borders

North: Province of Jujuy and Republic of Bolivia.  West: Republic of Chile. East: Provinces of Chaco and Formosa; Republic of Paraguay.  South: Provinces of Santiago del Estero, Tucumán and Catamarca.

Border Crossings

The province communicates Argentina with neighboring countries through three international land crossings: Salvador Mazza - Yacuiba (Bolivia).  Aguas Blancas - Bermejo (Bolivia).  San Antonio de los Cobres - San Pedro de Atacama (Chile).

Train Connectivity

Trenes Argentinos  provides a regional round trip service Salta - Gral. Güemes, from Monday to Saturday working days, with more than one daily frequency, stopping at Batalla de Salta, Betania and El Bordo.
