To procure the development of the Tourism Survey System of the Province of Salta.  

To procure the generation of basic indicators of the tourist movement and its socio-economic impact.

To carry out the necessary studies and investigations to deepen the knowledge of the demanding market and the current tourist offer of the province. 

It works in two types of studies 

(Procedure for the monthly process of the Hotel Occupancy Survey (HOS) whose objective and scope is to present indicators related to: Net room occupancy rate Average overnight stay Tourists admitted by place of residence This procedure is applied on the information surveyed from all the hotels in the sample of the Capital and the interior of the Province.  

Development of the Tourist Survey on the Public Roads  

The purpose of this procedure is to obtain qualitative information on the profile of tourists visiting Salta and approximations of daily tourist spending. It is carried out three times a year during the summer, Easter and winter seasons.
