El Bordo

VALLE HISTÓRICO Y GAUCHO

El Bordo is a town of gauchos, where its hot springs and the rural experience in its old ranches make the visit an unforgettable moment.

Rural landscape

The town is located 2 km from Campo Santo. As you walk around the town and its surroundings, you can see fields with tobacco and sugar cane production, as well as small horticultural producers, as the main activities.

Landscape of sugar cane fields

The most important crop that stands out in the tour is sugar cane, concentrated in the surroundings of Campo Santo, Güemes and Cobos, covering an area of 3,000 hectares in the area of Betania, Campo Santo and El Bordo. Witness to this is the historic San Isidro sugar mill, which gave life to the area.

Trekking and horseback riding in El Bordo

The farms offer the possibility of trekking and horseback riding in the surroundings to enjoy the natural landscape of the town.

Patron saint festival in honor of Saint Michael the Archangel

In October this traditional patronal feast takes place, where together with the images of the Virgin and San Miguel Arcángel, the procession goes through the streets of the town, after which a civic-military parade takes place with the participation of the gaucho forts of the region.
