Full of visual and sound stimuli, the Güemes Museum in Salta offers a journey through the history of General Martín Miguel de Güemes and his emancipatory feat in a didactic, unique and innovative way.

The house has ten rooms that cover the milestones in the life of General Martín Miguel de Güemes and the wars for Independence.

In the rooms, patios and galleries, the public goes back to the first years of Güemes' life, meets his relatives, admires the remarkable performance of the then young Martín Miguel in defense during the English Invasions, the Gaucho war, the work as governor of Salta and the ambush that ended his life, among other historical events.

Throughout the tour, visitors will enjoy modern audiovisual resources and exhibition techniques that include stage effects, lighting and multimedia programs.
