SERRANIAS ANDINAS

Like Santa Victoria Oeste, this beautiful little town is located on the western edge of the Yungas jungles, in the northwest of the province, 512 km (9 hours) from Salta, close to the border with Bolivia, between mountains and valleys.

You can make an unforgettable trip to learn about the culture of the native peoples in all its expression, as well as its landscapes along the roadside.

Its patron saint is the Virgin of Guadalupe, who gives her name to the town's parish. It is celebrated in September.

The local people weave llama and sheep wool with techniques learned from generation to generation.

The rural landscape is crisscrossed by small rivers and streams that make it suitable for agriculture, mainly corn and human settlement, as well as sheep and goat grazing. Also, due to the conditions of the territory, the inhabitants produce mainly smooth potatoes and Andean potatoes (papines andinos).
