To walk along Juan Carlos Dávalos Street, towards the Quebrada, is to walk through the history of San Lorenzo. The colonial mansions are witnesses of the life of the village during the time when it was just a place to spend the summer. 

Arriving at the Quebrada, we are greeted by the splendor of the Selva Montana, whose beauty has been perpetuated in songs and immortalized in poems. In Argentina there are only 250 kilometers of this type of jungle, stretching from the province of Tucumán to the border with Bolivia. A true gift of nature.

The San Lorenzo River, its grove and the possibility of buying handicrafts ensure a very entertaining afternoon. Its scenic beauty framed in a microclimate environment with permanent greenery, being crossed by the San Lorenzo River.

In the ravine there is a picturesque handicraft fair, immersed in a unique jungle tour.

San Lorenzo Castle

Surrounded by imposing houses and country mansions with green and gigantic gardens, on the way to Quebrada you can appreciate an incredible view and the presence of the well-known San Lorenzo Castle. A stone fortress, unique in the Argentine Northwest, mansion with a tower of 25 meters, built in the nineteenth century by Luigi Bartoletti, an Italian gunsmith who married a Salta lady heiress of these lands in the ravine of San Lorenzo.
