A fantastic natural attraction in Salta, very little known: the Devil's Bridge. A sector of the Calchaquí River that runs underground.

The excursion begins in the Lerma Valley, enters the yungas of the Quebrada de Escoipe and from the El Maray area it climbs the famous Cuesta del Obispo. On the way you enter the Los Cardones National Park, and shortly after you reach the highest point of the slope: Piedra del Molino, 3,450 meters above sea level. Here, the panoramic views are impressive. Then you descend towards the Calchaquí Valley and cross the endless Tin-Tin Straight, drawn by the Incas as part of their notable road network. In this part, a stop is made to walk along paths between cardones that reach ten meters in height. In the town of Payogasta, take RN 40 towards the North, and here comes the highlight of the day: trekking through the Devil's Bridge, formed by underground caves crossed by the Calchaquí River. Lunch, a picnic, and then the group heads to two very particular places: the Campo de Rocas Negras of the Twin volcanoes, and the old town of La Poma, with the 5,750 meters above sea level of the Nevado. of Achai as a background. At nightfall we arrive back in Salta.
